ThermoSafe Expands Orion™ Reusable Platform with Launch of Orion™ Express for Right-Duration, Time-Critical Shipments

ThermoSafe announces the launch of Orion^TM Express, a new configuration within the Orion^TM platform designed to support domestic routes and express lanes with right-duration, reusable temperature assurance through ThermoSafe’s proven Orion rental service model.

Orion Express helps pharmaceutical shippers respond to rising cost pressures, sustainability expectations, and supply chain complexity through a modular, reusable system built on a common refrigerant design. By using the same refrigerant across configurations and enabling hibernation, Orion Express delivers up to 67 hours of thermal performance, reduces reliance on VIPs, simplifies operations, and supports Packaging as a Service models that prioritize performance, reuse, visibility, and total system efficiency.

By expanding the Orion platform, Orion Express gives customers greater flexibility to align packaging performance with real shipping timelines. It delivers the same trusted benefits of the Orion program – including readily available packaging across a network of rental stations, ISTA qualified performance, the convenience of shippers arriving pre-conditioned and ready for use, and a closed-loop reuse program that reduces environmental impact now optimized for domestic shipments.
